Claire was born and raised in the small mountain town of Quincy, California where from a young age she began acting in local theater productions and singing with her dad and sisters in their family band. The Kepple Band released six albums from 2001 to 2013 with Claire providing lead vocals on several tracks.

She attended The University of Oregon where she earned her MA in Spanish Literature and Culture and her BA in History and Latin American Studies. Claire is fluent in Spanish and has traveled extensively in the Spanish-speaking world including Peru, Spain, Mexico and Honduras. In 2015, while attending the University of Oregon, Claire was cast in a leading role of a bilingual student-written play, Sonrisa del Coyote, at The Pocket Playhouse.

Claire was a 2020 semifinalist for the NATS National Student Auditions and received the Honorable Mention Award for the Hal Leonard National Competition, both for the category of Musical Theater. She entered these competitions as a private voice student of Juilliard alumnus Michelle Haché while living in Austin, Texas.

Claire’s versatility as an actor has allowed her to play a wide range of roles over the years, from roles like The Witch in INTO THE WOODS to Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (having previously played the role of Gretl when she was nine years old). Most recently, Claire was seen as the lead (Alice Murphy) in the bluegrass musical BRIGHT STAR at Actors Cabaret in Eugene, Oregon, where she currently resides.
